So me people might think since I’m 17 that I have to have a job, be responsible and anything else a 17 year old should be. But some 17 yr olds are not there yet for example_ me. If the 4 seasons was how I could explain my maturity, I’m in that stage were I’m at the end of spring moving on into the summer. I am childish, playing around a lot. Selfish, wanting everything and learning how to be more responsible, doing things before my mom tells me to do it.
The other day when I was playing with my brothers and my mom told us to stop because we were to big to be playing like kids. That’s when I realized that I was childish. Playing kid games to play fighting with my brothers, learning that I don’t know when to stop. I have to have everything like a 3 yr old.
Knowing myself, I know that I can be very selfish at times. I wan everything to myself, such as my friends, family and just my stuff in general. Some people may say that I’m inconsiderate but me being me I don’t care what people say. My best friend has a new boyfriend and I really don’t want to share her with him. I don’t think she would have time to hang out with me. But , I’m learning to compromise with getting ready for the summer.
Responsibly is a big world to use, that’s why I’m using it. It takes a lot to be responsible. That’s why I can say I’m responsible, I cook, and clean, baby sit and I’m trying to fine a job. The funniest thing happened to me a couple of weeks ago, I was supposed to go to the movies but my brother needed me to watch my nieces so I did. I cooked and cleaned up their mess. It wasn’t my best night but it was worth the money. Me being responsible relates to Lizabeth in the story, after she looked in Miss. Lottie face after damaging her marigolds. Responsibly smacked her right in the face, she realized she couldn’t act like a playful child and playing childish games like I had to learn.
Knowing where I stand being at the end of spring, beginning of summer I can say that I’m learning more and more about myself ever day. Knowing that I like to play around like a child, keep everything to myself and I’m growing on responsibly. But who said it was all work and no play?

The Question?!
The question is what do I make...
Do I make thousands of dollars like lawyers and doctors?
NO! who goses to school that long?
Not me...
Do I make people that walk the streets talk about me?
NO! but they do...
Do I make peolpe love me?
No but they do...
They also hate me but I don't complain...
Do I make my mom scream and hallor at me?
NO! but she does...
need a man...
Do I make my brothers fight each other?
Yea, cause it's funny...
but who don't?
Do i make my friends mad?
I guess , cause they sure do get mad...
Well...
What do people make me?
They make me laugh, mad, cry and also love...
but who can really make me?
People think they can make me...
Do what?
What they want or don't want?!!
BUT...

"For Poets" By, Al Young
Has someone ever told you, you were beautiful or to stay beautiful? Was they even talking to you? Well in the poem "For Poets" by Al Young he tells someone or something to stay beautiful or was he talking in general… One can learn so much from this poem. Realistic, it wouldn’t say anything about fairies, princess or anything of that nature. Did it tell a message? Yes, someone or something to be them self.
First of all, the poem talks about getting out in the world. Al Young wants the person to express their feelings. It says, "Don’t for get to fly", so he was telling someone or something to spread his or her wings and get out into the real world.
Second of all, the poem is realistic. It talks about someone or something exploring life. The author also uses animals and nature to describe what the person shouldn’t be. The poem states "Don’t turn into a mole, or a worm, or a root, or a stone". Al Young wants he or she to come out into the open and out the ground.
Finally, Al Young gives a message to the reader. He’s telling them to open up and express their self. He is also telling them to be them self and show their true colors, "Come on out into the sunlight". Which he is telling them to Shine and glow in their own way.
When its all said and done, I really enjoyed "For Poets" by Al Young. It was very instructional by telling people to get out in the world. Realistic because it uses nature and animals. The poem tells a message also, to be yourself and open up. Pick up this poem and read it... I guarantee you will like it.
