NHD
My name is Elizabeth and I was a partner with Rodsheea Thomas. Our project name is "Friends, The First School for Blacks..." We also did a exhibit. I learned about the Philadelphia Quakers and how they wanted everybody including blacks to be equal as one. The most difficult thing about NHD was all the research we had to do and getting everything together.

Most people don’t know about Maya Angelou. You probably don’t know about anything about her, where she was born, what she did in her life and what impact she has on us.
Maya Angelou was born 1928 in St. Louis; her birth name is Marguerite Johnson. She was sent to live with her grandmother in a town in Arkansas after her parent’s marriage ended. She was an actress and singer she had toured in Europe in a production of Porgy and Bess, a folk opera about life on the Charleston Waterfront. Dear Mr. Romero,

Dear Mr. Romero,
How are you doing today? I’m fine! I’m doing well in school; I come on a regally base. I was also getting good grades. Well, except I don’t know what I'm getting in your class.
I know I'm passing but I would like to know my actually grade. I think I should get a B+. I think I should get a B+ because I do all my work I come to your class every day even if I don’t feel up to it and I also talk to much.
First of all I deserve a B+ because I do all my work. I may not do it how you want it done but I get it done. I even hand my work in on tine except one or two things. I try to do my best on every assignment you give or given to us. I try to put my best foot forward to balance everything at once such as, NHD, Math, Science and your class English.
I also don’t feel like coming to your class most days but I know if I want to pass I have to come everyday. I can feel so tired that I just want to go to sleep in your class, sometimes I do but I mange to get up and do my work on time. Most of the time I don’t really be up to even attending your class or anybody else. I also mange to get out of bed to come to school on time for your class.
Finally, I talk a lot in your class; I talk to Rodsheea, Sam and Alex. I don’t talk to be rude but, because I be bored. I also talk a lot because they talk to me. Sometimes I think your assignments be boring that’s why I need to talk.
To sum up, I deserve a B+ because I do all my work, I come to class everyday and I talk too much but I admit it. I turn in my work on time and I do everything I'm supposed to do.

Should Parents Be Allowed to Hit Their Child?
The big question is should parents be allowed to hit their children. Well I say yes. They should be allowed because of behavior, respect to others, and also they should be allowed to a certain extent.
First of all children are not angles. If your child was to act up in the streets or while you’ll out period, you would hit them. Also they might act up in school. He / she might be getting bad grades, and when you put them on punishment it don’t work so you would bet them.
Secondly, what if they were to disrespect others you would be so mad. Your child would probably talk back to their teacher and or an adult’s period. They might talk about other people and or spread rumors. That might embarrass you.
Finally, it’s ok to hit your child to a certain extent. You can hit them but don’t hit them to hurt them, just to hurt their feelings. In Huck Finn his dad hits him to hurt him for example, “I reckoned he was gone he come back and put his head in again, and told me to mind about school, because he was going to lay for me and lick me if I didn’t drop it.”
To sum up I do think that parents should hit their child. They should hit them for behavior, respect to others but only to a certain extent. They shouldn’t hit them to hurt them but to hurt their feelings. Other then that parents should LOVE their child.
